ABOUT: ---“Von”is an abstract artist based in 29 Palms, CA, where he has lived for over 21 years, though originally from Palm Springs. He turned to painting as a way to combat depression and escape societal pressures, finding healing and expression through his art. “Art became my sanctuary, a way to pour out my pain and transform it into something beautiful. Through creating, I found healing, strength, and the courage to face life again." Spray paint remains Von’s favorite medium, bringing vibrancy and texture to his creations. In 2017, he expanded his artistic pursuits by diving into photography, capturing emotion and storytelling through the lens. Around the same time, he began exploring writing as another form of expression. In 2020, he published his first poetry book, *The Unexpected: The Journal of a Lonely Poet*, followed by *Lonely Heartbreaks*, released in 2024. Both works reflect his ability to transform personal experiences into relatable, heartfelt narratives. Von founded his brand “SNG” (Starting New Generation), which later evolved into “Vonshouse” in 2022. The name is a tribute to his late Godmother, Yvonne Risper, whose open-door generosity inspired Von’s motto: “Be comfortable in your own skin at Vonshouse.” Von’s artistic journey has been showcased in two major exhibitions: - *Sadness Within* – A deeply personal exploration of how pain and art intersect, allowing viewers to experience the raw emotion behind every piece. - *Feelings for Rent* – A reflection of vulnerability, where each work invites viewers to borrow and connect with the emotions Von poured into his art.
